24" Fabric Wreath

I finished this fabric wreath over the weekend using four different batiks. I used a pinking rotary blade for the first time on this project. It is a 24" wreath. Wanted a wreath I could hang whenever and not be seasonal. I am making a smaller on in purple to hang in my craft cave. I will post pictures when I get it done! Another fabulous way to use fabric and would make a great gift that is easy to make.

Various Forms of Quilting!

I painted this quilt block on my barn about 7 years ago when my oldest son went into the Navy. I chose a Mariner's compass so he would always find his way home. I drew it on the door by hand then painted the individual sections. I just refreshed the colors in 2012, as it will be part of the Hancock County, OH Barn Quilt Block Tour taking place in 2013.

Tomorrow ... how I long for thee!

Tomorrow is a planned outing with quilt friends to the Grand Lake Shop Hop in Lima.  My goal is to behave and not go hog wild with a planned trip coming up, but with that many quilt shops all in one place ... boy oh boy!!  And, of course, spending the day with good friends is always a plus!  I am sure that laughter will abound tomorrow, along with shopping a plenty.

Just had to share this

"Quilting with a friend will keep you in stitches."  It is so true!  There is nothing quite like quilting with a friend or friends to bring joy to your day!  (borrowed from Quiltworx.com)

And we're off!

Please bear with us as we get our blog started ...
