Good evening everyone!
I was sitting down for a few minutes last weekend cutting out several quilts and enjoying a beautiful weekend, even though it was rainy, reflecting on the fact that summers seem to go too fast any more. I walk through the stores and see all the school supplies reminding me that the yellow buses will soon be everywhere picking up their precious cargo. The sounds of school activities will start filling the air and the seasons will be changing filling us with inspiration. It all signals that the holidays are just around the corner and here before we know it. Someone posted on Facebook that there were 146 days till Christmas. It always seems to creep up quickly (I know oxymoron in play)! Now it is time to start planning those projects you wish to make and give as gifts to the special someone's in your life. I need to start my blocks for the 2013 Scrappy Stitchers Christmas Block Challenge (I really think I need more hours in the day). I have it designed, but need to make a test block to see if it will work out. I have been making updates to our blog, so hopefully people can follow us and I have added links to other blogs to give us more ideas and inspiration. Looking forward to Saturday, as we (a group of fellow quilters from the Stitchin' Time Guild and the Scrappy Stitchers) are going on a guild created shop hop to 6 different quilt stores in the Columbus/Delaware area in Ohio. Can't wait to see what wonders they will have to offer in in everything quilting!! Hope everyone cuts (no pun intended, haha) out a little time to sew those wonderful quilting projects that swirl around in your head trying to find a place to land and become real projects! Signing off for now so I can put a little fabric cutting time in before I head to bed for another day of work. :)
